Actual figures are taken from the personal itemized bookkeeping journal of Dr. Franklin B Hough. He practiced medicine in the village of Somerville, New York from 1848 to 1852. Includes a "bleeding of wife" for only 25 cents. All entries appear in Dr. Hough's original handwriting.
