An interesting insight into New York City history, now one of the most populated and valuable pieces of real estate in the world. Signed by both Indians and Dutch landowners, this document contains excerpts from the 1645 Deed for Manhattan and Long Island, and the 1649 Deed for Manhattan. The deeds are recreated here in the original handwriting and showing the "marks" of Indian chiefs.
