A bloody battle waged along the banks of the Tallapoosa River on March 27, 1814, it was a decisive day in the Creek War between white Americans and Native Americans. This document is a reproduction of Jackson's own words describing the battle as well as a detailed, hand-drawn map of Horseshoe Bend.
