Contains replicas of an 1864 Confederate 50-cent "paper coin" and an 1861 Confederate half dollar coin. The Confederate government printed currency to fund their efforts during the Civil War. The Confederate half dollar coin never actually went into full production due to a shortage of silver throughout the war.
